3D "Sea Star" Nails

HeLLo everyone! For today's blog post I pre-made this 3D nail design with mold sea stars. I'm really  new to all acrylic powders and creating own designs still very hard for me. Also the smell of acrylic liquid is soooo intolerable for me and after 5 mins working with them I feel completely dizzy. So because of this I used DIY mold decoration.

X&D Acrylic Powder

Size of each box: 38mm x 38mm x 18mm

Code: JR1108

Price: $24.50

Available: KKCenterHK

Plastic box with 15 different colors in it. It has 2 shade of white: one of them is basic white and another one is shimmery.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I made swatches for each of the powders. This set has a lot of bright neon colors and it has enough pastel tones as well.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

For this design I used blue acrylic powder which is so pretty! It's not completely wearable nail design but I had a lot of fun wearing this nails :)

How To Get "Sea Star" Nails:

1. Pre-made 20 3D sea stars. If U have shorter nails 10 sea stars is enough.

2. Apply base coat and make white french manicure.

3. Stick some blue hexagons and sea stars.

4. Seal everything with 2 layers of thick top coat.

Thats it for my new acrylic powders set and "Sea Star" nails. I'm very happy with all colors. I only need more practice with creating some freehand designs :P

I will share about acrylic brush set in my next post >_<

"Cancan Corset" Nails

HeLLo everyone! It's a very busy week because I was given a chance to earn some money by translating from Korean to Russian and vice versa. I'm usually working 2 hours per day but I feel like squeezed lemon after active communication within a few hours. Finally yesterday I found time to change my manicure. It was inspired by Corset and it reminds me of Cancan at the same time.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I want to make an accent on this red flat hexagones I outlined the black part with. This was sent to me by KKCenterHK and I absolutely love them. I prefer this particular type of nail decorations the most because they are vibrant, has a lot of different colors and they are flat on the nails.

It comes in transparent plastic jar filled to the brim with hexagons. Sometimes it's hard to get clear picture of the glitters because they are sparkling very-very much! Tons and tons of product! It can be used on natural and artificial nails.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Here is all products I used for the nail design except for nail base coat, top coat, quick dry liquid, stamper and scraper.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

How To Get Cancan Corset Nails:

1. Apply base coat and one coat of glittery red nail polish.

2. Stamp lath image all over the nail plate.

3. With creme black nail polish and small detaled brush draw black part on outer edges of the nails.

4. Stick on red hexagones.

5. With a dotting tool make 3 silver dots on each side. With a smaller dotting tool make black dots inside of the silver.

6. With black acrylic paint and detailed brush make lacing part. Because my main red color was too dark I made lacing only my ring and thumb fingers.

7. Seal everything with thick clear top coat and done!

Thats it for my nails of the day :) It's time consuming but the final result is kindda worth it!

Glitter Toes

It was time to change my pedicure and I wanted to play more with glitters I've got from KKCenterHK store. I don't have any free nail polish bottles right now and I couldn't mix my own franken with this glitters but I used basic sprinkle method to get that look :)

Size: 0.2mm

Net Weight: 10g

Price: $7.37

Available: KKCenterHK

This is another filled to the brim plastic jar of glitters. I was interesting in this particular glitters just because the web-site says it's a mix of 1mm and 0.2mm glitters in one bottle but when I got them, this was just 0.2mm fine glitters. And it looks holo in the jar though and it's pretty! And because it sparkling very-very much my camera can't focus and all images are kindda blurry, so sorry for that!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Here is all materials I used for the pedicure except for top coat, base coat and quick dry liquid.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

How To Get Glittery Toes:

1. Apply base coat and main background holo color.

2. Apply another layer of nail polish and until it hasn't dried up sprinkle the glitters on top with a fan brush.

3. Dust off all glitter excess with the same fan brush and apply one layer of thick top coat.

4. Stick some butterfly fimo and apply another layer of top coat. Done!

Thats it for my toes of the week. Really do like the bling-bling effect and think I'm gonna mix my own franken anyways!

It cames in see through plastic jar with N.Nail logo on top of the lid and size and product code information on the bottom. This a filled to the brim gold flat glitters. They sparkling in the sun sooo beautifully and feels completely flat on the nails. Since this is kind of nail accessories I suggest to use thick top coat to finish manicure.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

When I finished this design my first impressions was that glitter part isn't suit nicely to the nail tips but right now I'm in love with this nails LOL~ It looks kindda special because of the glitters...

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Here is all materials I used for the nail design except for base coat, shimmer top coat and quick dry liquid.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

How To Do This Design:

1. Start with applying base coat and main background color. I used 1 coat of natural colored nail polish.

2. After that I applied creme yellow and green nail polishes with a sponge on the nail tips only.

3. Sealed everything with 1 coat of light blue glittery polish.

4. With detailed brush and white acrylic paint I draw random lines to create sort of green and yellow holes.

5. With fan brush I sprinkled gold hexagons and finished everything with 2 thick layers of shimmer top coat.

DIY: Cuticle Care - Moisturizers

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

5 Cuticle and Hand Cream Recipes for Your Next At-Home Manicure

Not only are cuticle creams easy to make at home, it is much better for you because the ingredients are simple and pure. Try some of these easy at-home recipes from Mycountryhome.yuku.com to make your next DIY manicure feel like you just came from the salon. And don’t forget to finish off your spa treatment with some natural homemade almond hand cream!

1. Clay and Lavender Cuticle Cream

Clay has always been hugely beneficial for the skin, so it’s no surprise that this recipe is a great cuticle healer and softener. This recipe calls for lavender oil for scent and conditioning properties, but you can use any oil you like.

Ingredients:

1 Tsp. natural clay

1 tsp. olive oil

3 drops lavender essential oil

Directions:
Mix the ingredients together until they form a paste and put them into a clean ointment jar or pot. You don’t have to let it sit. You can put it directly onto your cuticles. Leave it on as you file your nails and then massage the cream off when you want to do your cuticles.

2. Cooling Cuticle Oil

This recipe is perfect for the manicure addicts out there, or for anyone who went a little too far with their cuticle clippers. Tea tree oil is a great antiseptic and also has a tingling, cooling effect.

Ingredients:

10 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil

2 Tbsp Sweet almond oil

Directions:
Combine the tea tree oil and almond oil together in a small microwaveable jar. Warm the oil before you use it. Place it on your cuticles and let the oil soak in, rather than washing it off.

3. Cuticle Softener

This is super simple and perfect for pre-manicure cuticle softening. Leave it on for as long as you can and soak your hands in warm water. Then push your cuticles back and cut if desired.

Ingredients:

1 tsp. olive oil

1 tsp. vitamin E oil

Directions:
Combine the two oils in a glass or plastic bowl. You only need enough for one use, so you can also just use a bowl from your kitchen to wash after. Massage the oil into your nails and cuticles as you would any cuticle oil.

4. Tropical Cuticle Cream

If you want to add a little extra pizzazz to your manicure routine, or if you’re just in the mood for summer, try going tropical. Cocoa butter, jojoba oil and avocado make for one very nourishing cream.

Ingredients:

7 tsp. Cocoa Butter

6 tsp. Jojoba Oil

6 tsp avocado oil

3 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil

Directions:
Melt the cocoa butter over the stove or in the microwave and then add the other oils. Stir them in while the mixture cools and let the combined ingredients sit overnight. Soak your cuticles first, and then apply the cream. Let it sit and push back cuticles after they feel soft.

5. Almond Hand Cream Recipe

This almond cream is so deliciously creamy and is the perfect way to finish off a manicure. After your nails are dry, or before you start painting, rub this cream all over your hands. If you use it before you paint, remember to wipe off your nails before applying the polish.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup of beeswax

1/2 cup of almond oil

1/2 cup of coconut oil

1/4 cup of rosewater

Directions:
Heat the beeswax in a double boiler and add the almond oil once it has melted. Next add the coconut oil and rosewater and stir until mixed. Keep the cream in a clean air-tight container.

Fire from my heart

Burning just for you

When you're far away

I'm in love with you

Feeling that so high

What can I do?

This song a few years old but I'm madly in love with it! I got Inna "HOT" as my ringtone and I play it every morning :P

Anyways, I'm in spring mood already and changed my pedicure based on my spiritual mood: got a bit of color and light touch of romantic.

Designer Inspired: Louis Vuitton

HeLLo everyone! Hope U all had an amazing Valentine's Day :) Me and my husband celebrated this date in advance and visited such great place where a lot of Korean dramas was made. It was so exciting to be there and walk in the same place as a lot of famous Korean actors. I spent very nice day together with my family :)

I finally gonna share these nails today because I was going to do it for a long time. I didn't had much time to make my own nails but for today's post I'm gonna share designer inspired manicure which I made for my sister.

Louis Vuitton 20 images water decals sheet. Very good quality decals, very cute and creative :)

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

For the main background color I used PERIPERA nail polish from their scented collection in "PEARL WHITE".

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

And here is another Peripera item I bought recently and it's actually a nail care product. Natural Essential Oil from the scented collection. Great product, I mean it's moisturizing like all other cuticle oils but it smells very nice tho! It wouldn't smell like U bought the most expensive parfume and sprayed on hands it's just very neatly and unobtrusively smells! I read on one blog and American people spoke very negatively about these scented polishes and said it almost has no smell and it made me laugh very much! Well, U bought the stuff for $7 and want it smell on $700, take off pink glasses ladies! LOL~

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Thats it for now... I'll be back tomorrow with my nails and new nail shape I made yesterday :) Thanx for looking and have a great day :)

Dotting Tool Kit

Very-very simple nail design today using bigger and smaller size dotting tool :) Also I want to give all credits for the disign to this video tutorial [HERE] because it's not my idea I just watched this tutorial and loved the look so simple but still so beautiful!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

5 Pieces Dotting Tool

Approx. Length: 13cm

Penholder Approx. Length: 9.8cm

Code: JR1064

Price: $8.43

Available: KKCENTERHK

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

It's 5 pieces double sided dotting tools. This side is very useful and all the tips has a different sizes from very small to more bigger.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This side of dotting tools is more boring kind of. All this tips looks to me very similar rather the same but still works great for smaller dots or for picking up small rhinestones/nail decorations.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

For the main background color I used Eclipse "Lavender" nail polish. For the dots basic white creme polish and silver glitters for the extra decoration + clear top coat.
